Looks like it was "sold" once before, but the buyer couldn't come up
with the money.
Doesn't even have a lens mount according to the seller, who appears to
be a broker for the "owners"
It is my understanding that a customized SLR/DSLR/EF mount can be
created/included by the team of optical engineers who presently look
after the lens.
In that case, there's no reason it couldn't be converted to K-mount. You
wouldn't have to switch.
This is a backup optic for some "scientific" package that went into
space. Bet it was one of those CIA spy satellites they could use to read
the numbers off a license plate from orbit.
Just had a wild idea. Maybe PDML could buy it as a group. Have a contest
every year at GFM with the winner getting to take it home & use it until
the next year.
