It is a road sign, at least part of it is a "yield" symbol, the rest I
cannot decipher, possibly notice of a "Yield" ahead. Remember, these are
British, hence the sign posted on the left.

It appears to be a sign. There's a post below it. It's bright enough that
it caught a good dose of flash. I've had that happen when shooting pans of
cars at night.
