I know all too well about unemployment. Remember, Michigan leads the nation in 
that category. True unemployment numbers are in excess of 20% here. And the 
industry I worked for virtually disappeared quite a while ago. But I've created 
a new business of my own, and it's growing.

Of course, green jobs ill be part of the new economy. I just wrote an article 
about green opportunities for the DTE, the southeast Michigan utility company. 
And Michigan is counting on a green job revolution. But it's important not to 
burden existing industries with regulation that will crush them and eliminate 
more jobs.
