show her how it worked.  "It's all in real time - no screen, hit the
key and the letter appears immediately on the paper."

She had a ball with it!  (pun intended - it was a Selectric, after
all...), until she made a mistake and asked, "Daddy, where's the
delete button?"

Hell, I had/have correction tape in my Royal manual typewriter. You really were old school...
