Unless you have the two monitors side by side, it's difficult to tell if one is 
brighter than the other.
There are normally brightness (and other screen appearance altering) adjustment 
buttons somewhere along the base frame of the monitor.
..But I suspect you knew that. I'm a certifiable buttinski.
