I'm with you on this one, John. I have even avoided BluRay so far to avoid
having the license fees go to Sony.
Isn't that like cutting off your nose to spite your face? I couldn't work
without my BluRay earpiece. It's the only way I can do interviews over the
phone and type notes at the same time. And a wireless mouse and keyboard are a
big plus. If I boycotted the products of every company that had ever wronged
consumers, Id be living in a cave. But I'm not an IT guy, and what Sony does
probably is nowhere near as important to me as it is to you.

That;s blue tooth, a technology not invented by Sony. Blue Ray is a
standard that, sadly is more about Sony's profit margin and, copy
protection than anything else.
