Semi-OT, since I use Photoshop for the photos I take with my Pentax cameras.
I posted earlier that I had upgraded the memory in my laptop to the
maximum 4GB, although 32 bit Vista only "sees" something like 2.5GB for
some reason. I knew it wouldn't be able to "see" the whole 4GB, but I
thought it should be able to "see" 3GB.
I've noticed that since the memory increase Photoshop CS3 seems to be
performing more poorly. It takes longer to load, and gives more of those
blank screen "not responding" episodes. I've even had a couple of
crashes where it just stopped working altogether and had to be closed
using task manager.
Any thoughts?
My plan is still to eventually do a clean install of 64 bit Windows 7 so
it can see the whole 4GB RAM, but I'm waiting both for the early bugs to
be found & corrected and for a little extra money to come my way so I
can install it on a larger hard drive.
