I actually did pick up some screw mount M42 lenses that I had yearned for as a teenager (like the 50/1.4 with the rare earth element) and a few wides. I picked up a Voigtlander (Cosina) screw mount body to use them. It sure doesn't fare well compared to the old Spotmatic or K1000, but does have a pretty good viewfinder.
I have read nothing but good about the 31/1.8 lens. I hope to put it through its paces this weekend. I usually test drive a lens by taking a trip to the zoo. Lots of unusual sights on both sides of the bars. Does the group have a place where you post pictures, or do you mainly use your own web sites or blogs? And thank you all for the kind welcomes!
