Yes, they are. I use the Fong Lumisphere for weddings and events, which I rarely shoot, and automobile interiors, which I frequently shoot. It's excellent when working anywhere with a reasonably low, light colored ceiling. It can also be flipped and used like a mini softbox when the ceiling doesn't cooperate. Good tool.
