hi, haven't been contributing all that much to the list though i *have* been looking at most of the pesos posted. :)
saturday i am catching a three-hour flight to new delhi, spend a couple of days shopping there and then take a 20-hour bus journey to a village in the upper himalayas from where i am starting my three-week bicycle ride. i am hoping to cover roughly 900 km in about 18 days, through a road which will take me through five high altitude passes (the highest of which is about 18,000 ft). this road remains under snow most of the year and usually gets open by may end. due to unprecedented snowfall it only got open last week so it's going to be a bit of a rough ride. i've prepared as well as i can. hopefully i'll go out and enjoy it now... :) unfortunately i am not taking my kx with me as planned. three of us had planned this trip. the other two have dropped out, if for genuine reasons, i am doing the ride alone now, so have to take other essentials. i am just taking a p&s with me, the fuji f70exr. hopefully i can still bring back some interesting snapshots. there should at least be a couple of places en route having mobile network. i'll be updating my progress as and when network becomes available on my blog: http://jeyan.wordpress.com do drop in if you feel like it... :) catch you all later, regards, subash -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
