I just tried a few combinations. On MF, the E-P1 will initially enlarge the center portion of the image for focusing. (this is a nice feature). I have experienced problems shooting action, both with film and with digital, due to the delay between the time I press the shutter release and the shutter operation, but I learned to compensate and overcome that. Moot in any case.
