Sapshots????

No, I'm not from a family of monkeys, but my daughter wanted some old sapshots.
The Disney movie Aladdin came out in 1992 and my daughter fell in love
with Abu the monkey.
We bought a wonderful likeness of Abu that we used as a doll and puppet.
For Halloween 1993, my daughter dress as Abu for 3rd grade 'Trick or Treat'-ing.

Now her boss has a little girl who loves Abu, so my daughter asked for
some old pictures.
After rummaging in the closet for a couple of hours, I found these...

(digital copies shot from old prints - some contrast build-up)

It was a trip down memory lane when my family was young and I took
many pictures of them.

Thoughts after the rummaging...
1. Prints are lots easier to view than slides. My closet has
thousands of both, but 75% are slides.
These are now harder to view and share. I'll have to get scanning... :-(
2. Some of my best shots are really pretty good. It's a nice to
compare to the posts here.
(I'd love to do a 'How To' picture book for parents some day.)
3. Never underestimate the ability of photos to refresh your memories
after 25 or 30 years.
Lynn and I re-lived a lot of our experiences as I shared old prints.
We look forward to becoming grandparents some day. :-)
4. Take lots of photos. The family will grow up quickly. You'll
have the best time of your life!

Regards, Bob S.
