I heard the warnings here about using the relatively thick based T-Max film in the 6x7. So I tried a half dozen rolls of Tri-X (hell, I use to shoot it in the seventies and eighties), but I just don't think that I like it as much. Not enough shadow detail. Too gritty. So I bought another pack of T-Max 400. Now I'm thinking that maybe Kodak has reduced the base thickness. It feels just as thin as the TX when loading, and the camera winds just as smoothly. I shot two rolls today, and I'm going to print some tonight. However, in fairness, I really should do a side by side comparison of the TMY and TX to see the difference. I think I know what the result will be, but I'd like to have it staring me in the face. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
