I often indicate my appreciation for an image by use of the term; "I get it." 
IOW, I think I see what you were striving for and believe you were at least to 
a degree, successful.
Extremely few images rise to the level of "compelling." i.e., 
powerful..irrisistable.
An "interesting" image is one so complimented due to its being a product of 
unique creativity.
