Sorry to hear of the loss and delay.
I'm still awaiting word from B&H on the K5. I doubt that our one
decent local store has it. I suppose I could give them a call. I"m
hoping to have it before I do an out of town shoot. Don't like
traveling long distances with one camera.

I had an appointment yesterday to have a look at the 645D. The rep
had snagged the only one in Canada and had brought it to my local
pusher.
My K5 had, by coincidence also arrived, so I paid for it and then
went to play with the 645D, leaving my bagged K5 on the counter, my
K7 beside it.
If anyone is curious, the 645D is a gem. As quiet as it is, it is
impossible to hear anything else over the sound of it's awesomeness.
I got to lay with the new 55mm AF lens, as well as an older 200mm
and macro lens (both manual focus).
If Pentax can't sell every one of these cameras they make and have a
waiting list, there is something wrong with the world.
Anyway, after playing with the 645 for long enough to realize that
selling my wife to finance one was starting to look like a viable
option, I decided that I had better quit while I was ahead. There
was also other people who wanted to look at it.
So, I handed it back to the rep and was visiting with a couple of
friends, and the counter where my cameras were sitting was being
used to sell a camera, my equipment having been moved off to the side.
The sale was completed, and the lady picked up her bagged purchases,
and my bagged K5, and off she went. By the time I noticed what had
happened, she was driving out of the parking lot.
Now, I wasn't terribly worried, they have her name and phone number,
and I figured that she would either call the store, or perhaps call
me, since the bill of sale with my number is with the camera and
that I would have my camera in a couple of hours at most.
This happened yesterday afternoon, and as of yet, no word, no phone
call.
She may not realize what she's done, but if I don't have my camera
by noon today, I am afraid I am going to have to file a police report.
My pusher did say that they would replace the thing if it didn't
come back, but these things are still rare enough on the ground that
it could be a few weeks before they get another one.
But the 645 is very nice.
