Usually I'm using it with an SMC or Sigma 400/5.6, sometimes a 2X-S t/c or two, and either a ZX-5 or LX. I've had no problems with it, and it seems plenty strong for my uses. I've never tried to "hang" the camera off this head at a 90 degree angle, though, so I don't know if it's strong enough to hold the rig in place.
