A combination I'm currently using and like alot for still and macro is a Bogen 3221 tripod, modified to go flat with the bogen 3275 mini-gear head. For precise framing the mini gear head is hard to beat, its a bummer when your subject is moving though. I use this combo with a PZ1P and 200mm macro alot.
