They can get rabies, so be cautious. They are pretty resilient to falls. They get into the attic in two of my college's buildings and come crashing through the acoustic tile onto the floor on a regular basis.
They also have a host of intestinal parasites that can make them pretty sick. This looks like a young one. I've had a few of them die in captivity during my grad school years.
