Smarmy way of saying it appears to me to be a sophomoric attempt at HDR with too much saturation boost.

As a rule I love your images Ken. But this just don't cut it other than place and composition.

I don't own LR3 and I've yet to do an HDR image & other than a straight conversion from RAW - WYSIWYG!

Pretty much the way it was on a high, light overcast  early afternoon.
