I understand the need to overly touch up portraits, but the software
"Portrait Magic Professional Actions" removes all evidence that the
person has skin.  Am I  being picky or is this thing way over the top?

Maybe just a little picky. Looks like it's aimed at photographers shooting brides & high school seniors.

Brides want to look perfect on that special day, and everybody knows how sensitive teenagers are about their skin ...

If you want *way over the top*, you gotta' go the Becky Carter "looks like a Barbie Doll" route:
