I went to a Lightroom tutorial several years ago (and before I had LR). I watched the speaker open an image and go right to the blacks slider. He said, "This needs some blacks" and just fiddled with the slider a bit. It was as simple as that, but his comment was that you needed some blacks in all photos. Regards, Bob S.
