You might need to do a little impedance matching, but most likely it
will work without may extra smoke release.

Ya that's why i went for this one, it goes with the 80-90 year old HI
FI down stairs. As long as it does a decent job, i;'ll be happy.
If it doesn't, look for a stand-alone USB turntable and download a
free program called Audacity. Easy to learn. Easy to use.
Actually, if you have an old component system with a line out, you
could just use the appropriate cable to attach to a line in on your
sound card ... assuming you're on a PC that has a sound card with a
line in.
I expect Mac also has the capability, but I don't know Mac well enough
to suggest how to do it.
