Nice article Christine!

WTTW, the public TV station, ran a short video on the Vivian Maier photos.
It was part of yesterday's Chicago Tonight broadcast and was wide ranging.
They mentioned a previous clip they had broadcast as well.
If I was better at locating the videos, I'd include links. :-(

Street Photography is not my favorite, but some of the shots in the
exhibition showed outstanding composition or great character.
I really need more time with them than an hour last Saturday.

I have some concern about where this is all going.
The guy who stumbled on her work in '97(?) now has
100,000 of her negatives plus some other memorabilia.
It's a daunting task to wade thru them all.
He's been chasing it for a while and is just getting some reaction.
He seems to control all of her work and be a novice in photography.
Without some slick, commercial promotions and without some
commercial galleries making money off of these pictures, I
could see the whole thing imploding on itself.
Great pictures, but no visibility for them and no profits in promoting them.

Regards, Bob S.
