Thanks for the comments, folks. @boris: unfortunately that was just a slip of wishful thinking, I'm afraid. No new camera just yet, though something definately is in the pipelines. @ Jack, P.J. and Christine: It's taken under a bridge with a blue sky overhead, so after getting rid of some of the blue tint from the sky, this is what's left. Any further tweaking of the highlights sent the blue channel off the chart. If I went back and shot it in overcast, I'd probably get a much better raw file to work with. On my calibrated monitor it looks _almost_ right, but it looks less good on the uncalibrated one.
