Some years ago I bought a coffee pot by eva solo (http://www.evasolo.com/productinfo/567590/), its life was short in a house with kids and a cat but the metal/rubber parts survived the fall so I have been using those with a bottle of plum wine wrapped in a towel ever since. Those break too but are easy (and pleasant) to replace. Usually I have been washing off all the labels but haven't done it this time.
