That's probably why they only sold the last release in Japan and not in the
U.S.  I think, but am no way sure, that the previous LX discontinuation may
have been longer than ten years before today.

Aren't there laws about being forced to keep parts for repair for 10 years
from the date of dicontinuation, or something like that?
