I know I posted a couple of flying swan pix last year, but damn it, I
think they're beautiful birds, and seeing these big guys in flight is
most awe-inspiring (at least to me):

This was taken last weekend.  As you can see, a grey, hazy day.
Pretty much no horizon.  Just like today.  It's been that way lately.

I guess we have no right to complain, given the horrible, deadly
weather south of the border.

Oh well.  Hope you enjoy this photo.  Comments always welcome.

If you ever get a chance, come on down to NC during the winter (Nov, Dec, Jan). Swans winter over at Lake Mattamuskeet and Pea Island out on the coast.

There are "wild" horses at Corolla (north of Hatteras, almost to Virginia), Ocracoke, Shackleford Banks and Carrot Island (between Beaufort & Shackleford Banks).
