All my photo gear is packed and I've just finished making a few new large prints. Tomorrow morning I'll hit the road as early as I can rouse myself out of bed. There's a lot on my plate this time with the nature Photography Weekend at Grandfather Mountain and then several appearances the following week to help promote WildSouth.org (and incidentally try to flog a few copies of my various books).
Here's a twist: This time I'm going to try to video blog the trip. I won't tell you my YouTube URL yet because I want to see if this works out first :-) But I've got both a K5 and a little Flip Vide camcorder, so I ought to be able to get something on line. Tomorrow my destination is Durham, NC where I have friends to visit. Thursday I'll go to the Mountain and do my annual bivouac out in the back country in hopes of dramatic twilight shots. Then Friday the work begins.
