Those of us that have 'em seem to like 'em, although those I've seen advertised lately are priced a lot higher than mine was.
What I actually wanted was a fixed 24mm, but the 24-35 happened along at the right moment. Shel may have a view on this, but apart from an extra half-stop and a slight loss of weight, my subjective impression is that I wouldn't gain much now by swapping the 24-35 for, say, a K 24/2.8.
