I moved on a few pictures from the linked fawn shot. 
I think I prefer the Fawn Resting image:

I can see why you asked about the flies  etc., they are pretty gross. 
The thing I prefer about this is that you don't have the eyes so centered in 
the frame; and you've shown enough of the context that I can tell that the fawn 
is lying down. 

The little buggers are cute aren't they! I almost stepped on one the other day 
while playing golf. Errant shot off to the edge of the woods, I went looking, 
found the little guy. Of course no camera with me, not even my phone.
