Nice report, Brian, but bypass the K-r and go straight to the K-5 :-)) Cheers, Christine

Subject: Sydney Photo Expo

G'day all

My son and I spent an hour or so today at the PMA Australia 2011 Imaging
& Entertainment Expo. This is held in Sydney and Melbourne in alternate
years.

I wasn't looking seriously for any equipment but Black Rapid was there
so I got a chance to look at the R Strap in the flesh so to speak. I
was suitably impressed, although I'm not sure I want to spend over $50
on a strap right now.

Surprisingly, there were a couple of the new Pentax Qs on display - one
white, one black. They were under glass, unfortunately. They certainly
look good - very small, although not quite as small as the key ring
photo led me to believe. At the other end of the spectrum I saw the 645D
for the first time and got to play with a K-r, which is probably more
like where I'll be heading in the future.

I also got to handle the Fujifilm X100 - very nice, as were the various
Olympus Pen models. The E-PL2 looks very tempting.

Cheers

Brian
