I almost bought one (soft-top) to go alongside my wife's Mini Cooper;
it was a close decision between a fully-tricked-out JCW Mini and the Z4.
The price would have ended up about the same. The (used) Z4 won out,
in the end, because the SMG meant that my wife could drive it without
putting too much strain on her knee - she has severe arthritis.
