I went to WaterFire in Providence, RI with some camera club friends on Saturday. They are OMG incredibly difficult to shoot well. Curiously, I got better shots after I ditched the tripod and bumped up to 3200 ISO (which I've never shot at-K100DS), and was able to move around and get scenery and candid people.
