JC, I agree that there is something about a solid construction lacking in most lenses today. So much wobble or fear of breaking these days.
I was @ Midwest Photo earlier today. Got to handle a Sony DSLR with the Zeiss Sonnar T* 16-35/2.8 zoom. That lens as a feel better than any other modern lens I've touched. But @ $1900ish, it had better.
