I'd have to be in agreement with BobS, Bruce and Jack. This one seems cleaner and the whites are whiter. The first looked a bit too yellow n my calibrated monitor. I don't mine the shadows - they still have some detail in them and look fairly natural to me.

Not as happy with the tonality, the Vivitar S1, renders color more
neutrally than most Pentax lenses which seem to be a bit warmer.

Equipment: Pentax K30D w/vmc Vivitar Series 1 70-210 f2.8~4.0 (Ver. 3 by
Komine).
