I had absolutely no idea what kind of car it was. For a moment I thought it might be a Ford Consul of the type my father used to drive in Singapore in the mid-60s (his was sky blue): <http://www.texcoaches.co.uk/1960%20Ford%20Consul.jpg> I know next to nothing about American cars other than what I saw in American Graffiti. Even when I looked at the next page and saw what it was, I was none the wiser - never heard of them. Just a great big American car which probably makes you sea-sick to drive.
