Irene really hit the Connecticut shoreline hard as far as the Power Grid was concerned. I blame people fighting to keep their scenic trees. Still I don't blame them much but it's a trade off. Trees that knock out the power in a less than horrible storm, (which is still pretty unlikely), or reliable power. Irene had 65 mph winds when she reached Connecticut but still knocked out more of the Power Grid than storms with 100 mph winds have in the past. Storm surge did destroy a lot of expensive landscaping and washed out a few roads however. I'll be off line mostly until the power is back looks like a 4 more days to a week of being powerless. In the meantime here's a PESO I apologize in advance for the quality. I missed a bit the focus and processed it on my laptop. Hope some of you get the pun.
