Doubtful, at least in the short run. Most people who shoot for a living are accustomed to the format and the feel of an SLR with some bulk. I have yet to see a 4/3 camera or any other type of compact being used at a press event and I attend many. An itty-bitty camera can't anchor a substantial lens. Things may evolve to a different format, but I don't see it now.
