I actually started hunting around on the 'net last night for a used K100Ds like
the one Larry loaned me. The more I use it, the more I like it. It just feels
like a wonderful camera for nature photography!
I'm curious how much they are selling for these days. Also if anyone has
experience with both the K100 and the various ists, which IIRC have the same
sensor and a similar body, how they compare.

I do know that the 100super has definite advantages over the 110 and the 100D.
I saw an *ist DS2 in EX condition for $215, but didn't see any K100DS at all. In fact, I
wasn't able to find one on eBay, either. I don't know anything about the *ist at all,
not being much of a gearhead. But, $215 for a KEH "excellent" rating sounds
like a fairly decent bargain to me.

But, then, I don't know from nothin'.
Actually, there's a K100DS in LN- condition for $286 at KEH, FWIW.
It looks like you can find them for about $150 on craigslist:

Hmm . . . I didn't see one for $150 in those search results. But, I'll keep looking.

In the meantime, I just got an email from Pentax Forums with the following subject line:

*PentaxForums Polo Shits*

Now I'm torn as to what to spend my money on.
