I made no statement about which of the many pins carried digital signals,
just that the while the signals sent by the PZ-1p might not include all
of the signals sent by the K-5, the number and layout of the lens-body
contacts was identical on the two cameras.

While there is definitely one pin whose sole purpose is to carry digital
signals, it is unclear whether some digital communications are sent over
other pins (which could include the power contacts introduced on the PZs).
Examination of signal traces and/or wires on some Pentax models suggest
this may be the case, but there is no official information from Pentax.
