I see, David. the B&W tone reflects the gown's true color. Guess I, also, put 
too much  weight on the word "bridal."
I gather this was a promotional shoot.(?)

This isn't a wedding dress, it's more an evening gown. I have heaps of
wedding dress shots. There was a wardrobe of 30 dresses (half of which
were wedding dresses) and 5 different models

As for it's tone, It simply reflects the satin grey colour of the gowns fabric.
