As I have mentioned in the past, the K-5 is very close in size to the *ist-D

                Width   Height Depth
    *ist-D:      129mm x 95mm x 60mm
     K-5:        131mm x 97mm x 73mm

The extra 2mm width and height are pretty much unnoticeable in use, and
the additional depth is because of the much larger handgrip on the K-5.

The big superficial difference between the K-5 and the *ist-D is the weight
(the K-5 is 20% heavier than the *ist-D). Of course as soon as you start
using it the other differences become apparent.
