Paul, it may or may not be that different. If it meets the criteria that Shel listed, then you got a hell of a good bargain, if the intention is to use it on an LX. I actually quite like the new style LX shutter release as it comes from the factory. Unfortunately, two of my LX's are the old style release, which is not as nice.
