Shot a lot of things at f/1.7 and ISO 100 outdoors today, and my center focus point at least is now dead on.
So... the "Live-View/Not-Live-View" focus adjustment method seems to work. Well enough for me, anyways! That being said... this is not the sharpest lens when used wide open.
