How wonderful for him, The Sox and their fans. 21 years ago I turned on the TV in the third inning of Dennis Martinez' perfect game for the Expos (my poor, dearly departed Expos!). It's a wonderful thing to experience live, even if only as a television spectator. To be part of the last two thirds of that game was an amazing, nailbiting, once in a lifetime thing - since my Expos are now gone and I have no favourite baseball team anymore (and have sworn to myself that I never will; an Expos fan til the day I die).
For El Presidente it was the first perfect fame for a Latin American pitcher and it remains the only perfect game by a Canadian team (the Jays have never pitched one, only been on the receiving end). As for Humber, yesterday was his first complete game! Amazing. Congrats to him and all White Sox fans everywhere.
