A quick comparison of the K-5 specs with the K-30 seems to show only minor(?) differences.
K-5: User manual available for download K-30: not yet
K-5: 14 bits/channel K-30: 12 bits/channel K-30 lacks HDMI out? (not mentioned, anyway) K-30 lacks 3.5 stereo microphone (built-in monaural only)? K-30 lacks infrared (for remote)? Image Stabilization: K-5 states "Sensor-Shift Shake Reduction with rotational compensation (4 stops max). K-30 says same but with "3 stops max" K-5 also has electronic level function (verification via viewfinder and LCD panel) K-30 no mention of electronic level function Metering System: Exposure Bracketing K-5: Yes, (2,3, or 5 frames) K-30: Yes, 3 frames Fastest shutter speed: K-5 1/8000 K-30 1/6000 Drive differences K-5: Continuous Hi = 7.0 FPS (22 jpg, 8 RAW) K-30: Continuous Hi = "approx 6 FPS (30 jpg, 8 RAW) K-5: Continuous Lo = 2 FPS (unlimited JPG, 12 RAW) K-30: Continuous Lo = Approx 3 FPS (unlimited JPG, 10 RAW) Custom Functions available: K-5: 27 K-30: 23 I may have missed something, but that's what I caught on first glance.
