Well, compared to some I do very little at EHS. Mostly show up to events,
schlep stuff around, set up sound systems, make the odd announcement, mind the
merchandise booth, take a few pix for their Facebook page, help with set up and
tear down.

There are many there for whom volunteering is almost a full time job. I really
admire their dedication.

In fact the Etobicoke Humane Society (unlike scandal-ridden Toronto Humane
Society, with whom we have no affiliation) is 100% volunteer run - no one gets
paid a cent to run it. We are a 100% no kill shelter as opposed to, say,
Toronto Animal Services, which euthenises 6,000 animals a year.

Btw, I heard you bumped into my SO today! Isn't she a sweetheart?

Thanks for you comment and thanks to everyone else who took time to look and
comment.

Cheers,
frank

A lovely portrait, Frank; she and her pooch should be pleased.

It's really great of you to volunteer at the Humane Society too. My
pets approve! :-)
