Correct - the old TTL prism will not link up (it uses the chain to gauge
aperature). The AE prism also will not work, due to the spur that settles
into the shutter speed dial...

PS - these rings go for a ridiculous price on ebay - $30+ - but they are
always sold new (or second hand) with the dial included... Check pentax - I
believe that they stock them for about $20.
