I think I made a comment, mostly in jest, that the new 560mm, if mounted on the Pentax Q would result in an effective 3136mm (35mm equiv. field of view). Turns out that is how it is being displayed at Photokina - on the newly announced New Q (obviously using the new Pentax K-mount adapter for the Q): http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-b3K4b9z/0/M/i-b3K4b9z-M.jpg
This strikes me as a bit absurd to do at a show like Photokina however... unless now that Pentax has the K-mount adapter for the Q they have decided to use it to drive some KAF lenses to be purchased or used on the Q (or conversely Q bodies sold to owners of K-mount glass). If that's true, I'd expect the Q's capabilities when coupled with good K-mount glass to be talked up a bit or advertised. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
