No personal experience. My son-in-law has gotten into vintage flashbulbs but he uses them with a camera that was designed for it (an old Kodak Tourist). He picks up flash bulbs by the box when he finds a good buy on them. I was surprised to learn how much light they put out and how many people still like to use them (spelunkers, for example).
